Little Sister - Queens of the Stone Age
This was the first Queens of the Stone Age song I ever heard. I definitely listened to it on repeat for like 3 weeks in 7th grade. I kind of forgot about them until i heard them on 101X one day and then I started listening to them again. Little Sister is still my favorite song. I remember hearing them at ACL this past year and they were sooo good. They sounded just like they do recorded.
Snobs
I'm getting tired of how judgmental everyone (specifically the people in the first row to the left) is about other people's music. Like I don't give a fuck if you don't like my music i'm not playing it for you and I don't need any comments on how it annoys you. I totally understand not liking Christian's music, it's ridiculous, but to write a post about how everyone's music was shit and bashing Christian is stupid. Someone's music shouldn't piss you off that much. Then again it is History of Rock and Roll, so i understand having an opinion on people's music but to let it make you that upset is ridiculous. Everyone has different taste's and to say it was shit is rude.

The Ruler - Kreayshawn
I know i'm probably one of the only people who like Kreayshawn, she's an acquired taste. She's a female rapper who is pretty monotone. I like the beats of her songs, and i actually like how monotone she is.
Elephant - Tame Impala
After I got the screen fixed on my phone the headphone plug wasn't working and neither was the auxiliary cord in my car, and I NEVER listen to the radio but I was forced to for about a week. When I listen to the radio I only listen to 101X. When they aren't playing commercials about the yellow rose's steak special they play some really awesome music. The only bad thing is they play the same songs a lot, and have recently thrown some Macklemore into the playlist. He has a good message, but awful music.
Anyway one day when I was listening to 101X this song came on and it sounded a LOT like The Beatles and I really liked it so I downloaded it right when I got home. I've been listening to it quite a bit and I still really like it. When I had to play my songs for the class I kind of figured the whole class would like it.
I haven't listened to the rest of Tame Impala's songs but I will, I'll let you know how the rest of them are.

I Wanna Be Yours - Arctic Monkeys
So I know I've already made a post about the Arctic Monkeys but I've found a new love for their album AM. I didn't really appreciate the album when I posted about it the first time. Lately it's all I've been listening too. My mom's getting sick of me playing it in the car, but that's what she gets when she doesn't let me drive my car to my lacrosse games without her. I love how he lists all of the things he would be for her and how he says 'Pacific Ocean'. I had heard a few of their songs from their album 'Humbug' because Adrien was pretty into them. The song I really like was 'Crying Lightning' because of how cool the guitar sounded.

This music video is weird as shit
The Roots
So I didn't realize The Roots were an actual band, I thought they were just Jimmy Fallon's little side band. I love how every time Jimmy Fallon says something stupid they give him the look. I'm glad you started talking about them because they are pretty good. I like the drums in their songs, and the sound of the singers voice. The lyrics are cool too.
Pretty Hurts - Beyonce
I like this song a lot because it talks about the definition of pretty in America. She sings about her childhood, when she was in pageants and how she felt during them. 'Perfection is a disease of a nation' is a really powerful lyric in this song. The song is really relevant to teenage girls in america. Beyonce is trying to tell girls that it's the stigma of perfection that's wrong not how you look.
Carry on - Crosby, Stills and Nash
I really love the harmonies in this song. The harmonies remind me of the Beatles a little bit. The guitar is also pretty awesome. I noticed there aren't that many instruments in the beginning of the song and it's just the voices. Then half way through the song it has kind of a latin sound.
Into the Ocean by Blue October
Usually i'm not into Blue October because I think the lead singers voice can get annoying. But this song is really good. It's relaxing and sad. I don't know how else to describe it. I like all the different instruments in it as well.
Red Hot Chili Peppers
I actually just downloaded the Red Hot Chili Peppers' 'Greatest Hits' album like a week before we talked about them in class. Some of their songs I get really into and others I can live without.
I don't understand why people are making such a big deal about them not performing 100% live. First of all it's just the Superbowl, that probably isn't the highlight of their career. If I was a singer I think performing at the Superbowl would be fun but it wouldn't be the peak of my career, I would hope something like ACL would have more of an impact. Second, they've probably played that song thousands of times and they thought 'what could happen if we didn't play the guitars live this time?'. I think people are overreacting big time, cut them some slack they've been around for 30 years.

About You XXYYXX
A girl danced to this song at the winter dance show and she was amazing. The song changes thoughout the 3 minutes it plays. There are a bunch of different noises put into it, and it only has like 5 words throughout it.
